Elsa, Princess of Arendelle, possesses cryokinetic powers, with which she is able to produce ice, frost and snow at will. One night while playing, she accidentally injures her younger sister, Princess Anna. Their shocked parents, the King and Queen, seek help from the troll king, who heals Anna and removes her memories of Elsa's magic.

The royal couple isolates the children in their castle until Elsa learns to control her powers. Afraid of hurting Anna again, Elsa spends most of her time alone in her room, causing a rift between the girls as they grow up. When the girls are teenagers, their parents die at sea during a storm.

今週は、『アナと雪の女王』。え？遅いって？そうだよね、自分でもそう思う・・・^^;　いや、映画ＤＥ英語、長い間休んでいたんで、その間に『アナ～』が大ヒットしてて、映画ＤＥ英語を再開できるようになった頃にはブームは終わっていたと・・・。世の中、そんなもんだ^^　いやいや、そんなことはない。『アナ～』ブームはまだまだ続いているし、これからもずっと受け継がれる映画だと思うんだよね。だから『アナ～』で英語やってみようって思った。

遅くなったけど、皆様、新年おめでとうございます。

昨年１１月末あたりに、ブログ用に使っていたモバイルのPCのネット環境が悪くなり、ブログの更新がままならなくなってしまった。このサイトを毎日やることで英語の勉強時間が多かったんだけど、出来なくなってすっかり勉強時間が短くなってしまった。

１２月はすごく忙しく、子育てもあり、年始から体調崩すわで、ああ、しんど・・・。ブログの間隔がかなり空いてしまった。やっとちょっと書かなきゃなあってことで自宅のPCで今書いとります。

Sophie (a Polish Catholic) eventually reveals that her father was a Nazi sympathizer. Sophie had a lover, Józef (Neddim Prohic), who lived with his half-sister, Wanda (Katharina Thalbach), a leader in the Resistance.

Wanda tried to convince Sophie to translate some stolen Gestapo documents, but Sophie declined, fearing she might endanger her children.

PLOT

In 1947 Stingo (Peter MacNicol) relocates to Brooklyn in order to write a novel and is befriended by Sophie Zawistowski (Meryl Streep), a Polish immigrant, and her emotionally unstable lover, Nathan Landau (Kevin Kline).

One evening, Stingo learns from Sophie that she was married but her husband and her father were killed in a German work camp and that she was interned in the Auschwitz concentration camp.

仕事が忙しかったのもあるんだけど、しばらく体調を悪くしていて毎週お伝えすることが出来ていなかった。やっと落ち着いてきたので、また毎週定期的に更新していきたいと思う。

今週は、最近WOWOWで観た『ソフィーの選択』。この映画はすごく有名で、名前はもちろん知っていたんだけど、古い映画で世代が違うこともあり観ていなかった。しかしWOWOWでたまたま目にしたのをきっかけに、最後まで観ることが出来た。

Brundle then reveals his desperate, last-ditch plan to Veronica—he will use the three Telepods (the third pod being the original prototype) to fuse himself, Veronica, and their unborn child together into one entity, so they can be the "ultimate family".

Veronica frantically resists Brundle's efforts to drag her into Telepod 1 and then accidentally tears off his jaw, triggering his final transformation into a monstrous combination of man and insect.

Attempting to find a cure for his condition, Brundle installs a fusion program into the Telepod computer in order to dilute the fly genes in his body with pure human DNA.

To her horror, Veronica learns that she is pregnant by Seth, and cannot be sure if the child was conceived before or after his fateful teleportation. After she dreams of giving birth to a giant maggot, a terrified Veronica has Stathis Borans persuade a reluctant doctor to perform an abortion in the middle of the night.

Seth and Veronica reconcile, and, shortly after his teleportation, Seth begins to exhibit what at first appear to be beneficial effects of the process—such as increased strength, stamina, and sexual potency.

He believes this to be a result of the teleportation process "purifying" his body. Veronica, however, is more concerned about Brundle's growing mania, as well as the strange, bristly hairs growing out of a previously-sustained wound in his back.
